This public housing project is situated in Bedok Town Centre, close to amenities such as shops, market, hawker centre and a key transportation node ie bus interchange and MRT station. The project vision is to create an integrated development which supports active aging. The design seamlessly integrates the main community deck and greenery with the public open space, ie Play Corridor which runs along one edge of the site. Creative programming and good functional adjacencies (eg co-location of Elder Care with Child Care centres next to Community Gardens and Verandahs) promote social interaction and community bonding. The design also optimises site topography to create seamless integration of the housing development with the adjacent bus interchange development, enabling easy access by residents to public transportation.
