This Catholic Church was to be named after the Transfiguration of Christ - a biblical event when Jesus appeared as a bright vision to the disciples after they climbed a hill . The design of this church seeks to distill the sense of the ascension of the pilgrimmage into the approach to the church everytime the congregation arrives at the church. The church is re-interpreted as a community building with the church yard seen as a communal plaza.
