This faculty housing project is given only a public housing equivalent budget but the outcome achieved is way more than what the client had expected.  The housing integrates with the hilly terrain, making the topography a landscape signature of the place.  Despite the frugal budget, the design achieves a Green Mark Platinum rating through sensible use of passive cooling and a clever facade design that can minmize the thermal heat gain effectively.  Communal spaces are designed to create a sense of a community and the development is scaled to maintain the generally low-rise character of the campus.
