Design Brief
This simple one storey changing room structure and swimming pool was inserted into a desolete amphitheatre of the existing staff housing estate. The entire facility was built like an elevated platform over the existing ground, taking advantage of the existing topography for economy. Existing trees were retained and re-highlighted as 3 more of the same species were planted to complement the swimming pool. Instead of solid walls around, fencing with 5 different types of creepers were used to provide an even greener environment than it was before. It has since become an endearing social gathering space of the residents.
