This project explores a new typology in office building design. The site is at the western part of the NUS campus, next to an existing bus terminal. Its strategic location enables the project to be a ‘gateway’ and ‘connector’ building, a key nodal point linking to the Arts and Social Science and Business faculties. The project aims to be a showcase facility to test-bed various key sustainability strategies eg. underfloor airconditioning, wind-scoops  achieving a result that is beyond Green Mark Platinum with a lean budget. The design takes into consideration, existing mature trees on site, ‘embracing’ the existing greenery into the main space of the facility. The internal spaces are also planned with maximum flexibility, to ensure a future-proofed facility which can adapt to its future needs.
