The project is an opportunity to explore innovative ideas of integrating various uses to optimise resources and achieve new synergies. The project brief integrates public housing with carparking, hawker centre, bus interchange and an existing MRT station. There is extensive coordination with various stakeholders ie HDB, LTA, NParks, PUB and NEA, to ensure a coordinated effort.

It is also about sensitive intervention in a historical setting, eg conservation of the heritage road ie Old Aljunied Road into a Heritage Walk, transforming it into a key public place in the community.
